About MRMUN
The idea of a Maria Reina Model United Nations (MRMUN) conference was first conceived in 2023. Through diligent planning, unwavering dedication, and a shared vision, our inaugural conference became a reality in July 2024. This achievement was made possible thanks to the invaluable efforts of Gastón, Mara, Ale, Majo, Vane, Gabriel, and Letizia, who now serves as our current Secretary-General. Their commitment and leadership laid a solid groundwork upon which MRMUN now continues to blossom.
As we initiated preparations for our second edition, starting early in the summer of 2025, the team, including Letizia, Veronica, Thais, Valentina, Rafaela, Alonso, and Gonzalo, has worked carefully to build upon the success of our first conference. Subsequently, our overarching goal remains clear: to enhance every aspect of the event, ensuring it is both intellectually challenging and genuinely enjoyable for all delegates.
At MRMUN, we are resolutely committed to creating an experience that goes beyond simply debating the committee’s topic. We seek to promote an environment where delegates are encouraged to negotiate, articulate arguments with diplomacy, and challenge ideas constructively. While thoughtful debate remains as the cornerstone of our objective, we understand that MUN is much more than that: it is about building meaningful connections, enjoying the journey, and having fun.
Our dedicated staff and secretariat are fully invested in supporting every participant throughout the conference, from opening to closing ceremony. We are confident that this edition of MRMUN will provide a platform where each delegate can develop confidence, broaden their worldview, and experience the true spirit of international cooperation.
